Almost done with hs4a's architecture, just gotta finish the lighting and entity work, add some enemies/supplies and it'll be done.

Why not just use Spirit as base? Would allow me to do more advanced stuff in my maps.

Actually, the latest Spirit version (1.5a4) is very stable.

Oh right.Well, the point some entities don't work the way i want them to work. The func_tracktrain for example is being a pain in the butt. Also, we already agreed since the start of HLHS that we don't use Spirit.

yeah, i'm fine for some things from spirit to be incorperated, but i dont want to use it as the base of the mod.

Hunter, you designed one yourself (I think.) You linked to it much earlier in this thread, maybe even in the previous one. I remember it was really small and tabbed...

Actually, differently from Gyradell Invasion and sc_pwnstar, there will be no porn in my HS chapter, and would ask that the other members agree not to include any in their's either.

It was working last night, and after I changed a few things it's now crashing HL and b0rking up Steam at the same time, which has NEVER happened to me before.

Errr... By the way, is it possible to trigger too many entities at once?

You really don't backup ur stuff? I backup after every hour of editing or so, and after/before making big changes of course.

Yes, that's the tractor trailer you're riding in. And yes, you're shooting out the back of it at the grunts in the pursuing trucks, while going about 80 MPH.

Expect some major explosions in this portion of the mod. :D

it'll presumably be done like the intro to Opposing Force, where the truck is stationary, and only the map itself and the enemy trucks move.

The map still has to be huge? Unless the map is shaped like a big wheel (a la Einstein) wich spinns around so that it can last forever.

No because the blocks teleport back to the start and loop so about say 10 cliffs move from one point to the other and then teleport to the start and repeat. Clever idea I might add.

If you do use that method I advise the use of fog. Otherwise you will see the cliffs and road vanishing in chunks behind you and that is pretty ugly.

If you can get this to work, play well and look good then I will do sex with you.

@madcow: and also func_conveyors. The truck itself wont be actually moving... the stuff around it will. But with some env_shake you can make it more realistic.

I guess srry, already though of those.
