Hello twhl people. Is there anyway that you can make a 8-bit couloured decal for half-life1. Not like orange. I'm talking 8-bit like the textures. I know you can make you spray 8-bit but can you with the decals? :)

Well, if you were really intent on it, you could make a "{" transparent texture, place the texture on a brush, and stick it one unit away from the wall you want it to be on. It won't be right against the wall, but it'll be damn close.

You can't without coding. All the default decals have set color schemes that cannot be altered.

But what if I want to make my own decals. Not make the defult ones colour

You can't make custom decals, the game rejects them. Either you use the defaults or you use a 255 0 0 blue, transparent makeshift decal. I'm sure there's a way around it, there always is, but I can't think of one off the top of my head.

I see. Because what I wanted to do, well I'm building a mod. And in one of the maps its like a poor-city area, and I wanted to make grafitti on the walls. Oh well, thanks man :)

Just make a graffiti wall texture. or do what srry said. Make your graffiti a transparent brush. With the color blue (255 0 0) at the last index and apply that over the wall. you can even make a pyramid brush so the edges are flush against the wall, yet the middle sticks out one unit from the wall. it's barely noticeable.

Well sorry people living in the past :) . The source engine is much better, and there are alot of other engines that beat that. But I still like half-life1 engine. But there are to many limitations on that engine.

Hay I dont have anything against the HL1 engine, it just has to many limitations, meaning it sucks. But I still like it.
