Alright I have made a bomb/defuse map and I have had many complaints of low fps in certain areas of my map and I've tried different lighting, removing textured entities, and reducing the skybox.......regardless of what I try I just can't fix it. I personally don't have this fps problems but a majority of the people that have tested my map do. The scenario of the lag is the top of a corner building with border walls on 2 sides and short distances to lower floors on the other 2 sides that are also bounded by a wall

First of all, wrong forum section. I'm going to assume this is for GoldSrc, because Source doesn't have r_speeds.

Second of all, post the map in the map vault with an RMF and link to it here. I don't see any other way people will be able to help you. Your problem seems tied to they way you built your map, and it's far too hard to troubleshoot this kind of thing when you can't see first hand how it's made.

The only thing I could ask with the information I have now is whether you're you're running VIS.

Yeah, some screenshots can help, and a link to the map itself of course ;). For yourself, you can check how many faces are drawn at that point by typing "r_speeds 1" in the console. You can visualize this by typing "gl_wireframe 2" - this displays all faces that are drawn with a wireframe outline. You might want to place some objects here and there that obstruct sight into some area's from there, or simply restrict players from ever getting at those low performance spots.
