i have the valve hammer editor and when i make my map and click test it says

Try renaming "Kaiden 1 hl map.map" to "Kaiden_1_hl_map.map". The compiler doesn't like spaces in your map's filename.

You're still using the Q Tools. Get ZHLT 3.4 and install it.

Um... there's nothing wrong. But I'd recommend you don't use so many WADs. There's 8 there, and your only using 1 in your map.

I just noticed that your maps are being copied into the gldrv directory. They have to be copied into your valve/maps directoty, assuming you're mapping for plain old HL.

Instead of doing that, I suggest doing what everyone suggested. I'll sum it up for you:

1: Read the tutorials.
2: Put an info_player_start in your map.
3: Change build options to place compiled maps in the maps folder.
