Hai guyz, I gots me a air-roar. I've never seen this error before but the simplicity of the error makes me think that it isn't an uncommon one. Unfortunately I wasn't exactly sure what to search for, so I couldn't find jack on it.

That little patch of yellow light is bugging me. At the time of the screenshot I had one light in this map, the light_environment, and its blue. I'm running default RAD settings except for the bounce, which is set at 2. There are no errors in the compile log.
Why and how is it that yellow patch there, and how do I get rid of it.

Its face-splitting due to some complex geometry. func_wall the fountain (f that's what it is) and it should stop it.

Not the face splitting, dammit. The face splitting is just showing up because of the fucked up patch of yellow light.

Did you at least try func_walling it?

Func_walling it was the first thing I tried. Doesn't change a thing.

Try a full compile maybe?

Try shifting the fountain over somewhere else temporarily and see if the problem (or a problem like it) still occurs.

I always run full compiles. Always.
Edit: Its a platform, by the way, not a fountain. Just want to clear that up. Plus that makes moving it a little difficult.
I have a hunch it has to do with the way the light is bouncing off the angled face next to it. The yellow patch only shows up on that particular part of the world, and that is the only place where that lighting scenario happens(light bouncing off that particular angle onto a perpendicular surface). Its almost like its creating a reversed shadow, only func_walling it doesn't fix it.

Ok, very strange.

Obviously i'm not familiar with how you've constructed this platform, but perhaps you could try it a different way. Split the ground up like this, for instance: http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/7213/schwat2su4.jpg

Excuse the shittiness, i'm using mspaint at work. If that's how you did it then try it another way. I can't really think of anything else atm, sorry.

Heh, well i'm out of ideas, this is an odd one. Nice looking layout, by the way.

When you said you func_walled the platform, what part did you func_wall exactly? I'd try the little ridge on the side instead of the platform itself.

I guess it doesn't matter now that it's fixed, but still...
