I'm trying to construct a windmill generator, but at a 45 degree angle (Diagonal) and using the Func_Rotating to have it spin. Is there a way to make it spin at a 45 degree angel with out it flopping all over the place?

Try checking BOTH the x-axis and y-axis flags. Might work never tried something like that.

Build it normally (not diagonally), then rotate the whole thing 45 degrees? I'm not 100% sure what you mean.

I'm pretty sure what you're trying to do is impossible. I've never attempted it myself, but I've thought about it before and concluded that there simply wasn't a way. The axis it rotates on is governed by those flags, and you can't deviate from that.

I figured as much, thought you might able to set some uncommon variable to set it at a angle, but guess not :

A model prop would be easy enough for this. If you can't make one, I'll make one for you. PM me the specifics if you're interested. I'll need to know the shape and speed ofthe fan more than anything else, size can be done in HLMV.

I tried this a while back and it is impossible in Goldsource using func_rotating.
There is absolutely no way to deviate from the axis. It will still spin on x/y and just look like its wobbling.
I was lucky as I was using CS: Source and created this solution using a motor:
