Pull out and convert the Half-Life 2 textures, get Wally, put them in (a) wad(s).

Rimrook converted them last year to a HL wad - have a search round the forum for an old topic about it. The Download link is prob still active. Or it may be in the vault. If you still can't find it, I have it.

And BTW, if its for your Mod, it is for you!

Thehalflifedude, PM Rimrook for the HL2 wad, i don't see it on his webspace at the moment, but im sure he still got the wad somewhere, so ask him.

Ok, enough with these threads. Listen carefully:

1. We cannot provide you with all the content you want. Not only because you want so much, but because it is illegal.
2. We are not Anti-Steam. We support Steam, and any requests of this nature (asking for content from games you don't own) are not condoned. Stop.

4. This is a mapping site, not a programming or modelling site. To get exactly what you want, buy Half-Life 2.
5. Get Steam. Chances are you don't even have a legal copy of Half-Life. Get one. Get HL2. Your Internet will not explode, your privacy will not be compromised, and your windows will not suddenly download 500 viruses. We all run Steam and never had any issues of this sort.

We are a friendly community as a whole, but don't you realise that you are asking other people to do your work? Why would we?

Don't blame Steam if your system can't handle it. As for HL2 textures - send a private message to Rimrook, he's converted most HL2 textures to HL1 a while ago.

Firstly, all of the points Penguinboy made were perfectly rational and non-provocative, so why you had to take a pre-pubescant hissy fit is beyond me.
Secondly, nobody has even hinted that steam is the best program in the world. We are simply pointing out that it's on-the-whole very good at what it was made for.
Thirdly, if steam crashes your machine then you've got a really shitty PC. Steam works just fine for all the other few million people who use it.
Fourth(ly?), You rather failed to explain how it doesn't run with utorrent, nor how it "screwed up" your dad's e-mail.

Your attitude stinks, and if you want an enjoyable, productive time at TWHL, I suggest you work to improve it.

Maybe you have a shitty pc that can't handle Steam.
Maybe you have adware, spyware, malware on your pc that you don't know about and THAT is causing all the problems, not steam.

allright just to end this retarded no point to argument i'll say that i had xp. there. but i wouldn't want to run much of anything now. i now have 512 mbs of ram, and 1.2 ghz. i feel like crying cuz it's such a crappy pc.

That's decent enough for Steam. I doubt it's responsible for fucking up anyone's emails. (utorrent will slow down if you're d/ling something from Steam)

oh, i found the hl2 wad. so this topic pretty much has no point and can be locked, deleted or whatever else you mods do with topic the have no meaning.
