I'm sure this has been brought up before now and I'm sure this thread will get closed or whatever but I believe this needs to be addressed.

Last night a thread turned up in the Maps and Mods forum containing a link to an unfinished mod. When I say unfinished I mean barely even started. The file contained illegal model hacks and other files for which the authors had not been credited. Despite the mod being incomplete credit should still have been given as it was still a release.

When this fact was brought forward to the author of the thread and mod (pfft). The reaction was far from friendly and over the course of the next hour the thread became a mass flaming session. I am not proud of this seeing as I was involved. At first I tried to keep calm about it but the author constantly missed the point of what was being said. There were a number of other members involved who I am sure will share the same opinion. This particular member has no respect for peoples opinion and as such continues to whine and moan and flame whenever constructive critisism is given. I therefore believe that he should not have the privilege of being a TWHL member.

You may have guessed that the member in question is HalfLifeDude.

This is under the impression that he is indeed still a member. I went to sleep before the thread was closed and removed and so missed the Moderator's conclusion. All I'm saying is that this guy is deliberatly making TWHL an unpleasent place where giving your opinion gets you screwed about. I am aware that things are going to change when TWHL3 arrives but until then, issues such as this still need to be addressed and dealt with.

That thread was locked and eventually deleted, it was quite frankly disgraceful. We are considering what to do with the users in question. If someone does something that we believe merits a suspension, obliteration, a warning or whatever, it will happen, don't worry.

Unfortunately, there were other people involved who commented rather immaturely and we're getting quite fed up with it. To my recollection you didn't do anything worth a bother, Urbanebula.
