i am looking for some people to join our group there are only 4 members at the moment here is our website

I am Ben and my friend is Thom.

We already have some maps but are stuck with a couple things hope someone will join. there is no current story line but are working on it and would like it if someone helped. thanks :)

Hm, why another post on the same subject?

I think it's a strange approach to build maps for a mod you don't even know what it will be about. Although it might be fine for you to do this, I don't think you can convince many ppl to put their efforts into something totally un-elaborated.

all the pics of maps on your "site" lack detail, especially Ben's.

I doubt you'll get much help without even the smallest idea of a plot, but it's nice to see you at least have some media, something which most mod application threads lack.

I think there's one for the aim as well..not too sure.

You need to open console and enter those commands in. Console is opened with the ` key above tab. You will need to enable console via options, keyboard, advanced.

That defines the scale of it. (Edit: Maybe if you set it to 0... worth a try)

I believe it is as simple as cl_crosshair 1/0 or
cl_drawcrosshair..

"cl_crosshairscale 1" will render the crosshair invisible - too big for the screen. I tried it. Setting it to 0 doesn't work.

Edit: I knew about it because some wannabe pros swanked that they play with "cl_crosshairscale 1", so without it.

Also there is "cl_crosshairalpha". Didn't find cl_drawcrosshair or cl_crosshair.

You started making the maps for this mod without even having story? That's just incredibly stupid. If you continue to use these maps, I can almost guarantee it's going to be a disjointed mess.

Mapping is kinda random - you really need to decide what you're doing. No-one is going to help you out with the 'Make loads of acceptable maps and try and put them together into a mod... with a story' approach you've got going on.

I now have a small story well the start atleast lol.

You wake up in a container with headcrab canisters andyou climb out to find you are in a dock after exploring a little you jump down onto the rocks and walk on.

Thats how far ive done lol BUT the map is already made and fully playable if you want to see pictures they might come up soon on our website

A few skilled people should be enough for now. Larger teams are harder to manage, and if you're not sure which direction you want to take with this, then don't waste time recruiting people. Decide on a direction first. Without that, you'll easily waste a lot of time on maps that you don't really need.
If you want to join
What sort of help do you actually need in the first place? The more specific you are, the better the impression you make and the easier it is to find people.

As for taking screenshots without hud and weaponry, 'cl_drawhud 0' and 'impulse 200' should do.

Most of the maps so far have a problem with lighting. They're generally too dark and monotone. Nothing really attracts attention lighting-wise. The lack of detail is acceptable during early stages imho, but still.
