Hello, I have a map where you can walk into a nice cave. I already got the raindrops and stuff, nice little ambience. But, to finish it, I want to set the roomtype (example: cs_siege) in this cave. To make the hollow effect.

I know its possible to set the gravity, but is it also possible to change the roomtype ONLY in the cave? And when you walk out of the cave, its normal again?

thnx !

Use env_sound for that.
Use the radius property to tell the range of the sound.

You asked this on the other mapping site , too. And you are still cofusing.
And somebody already answered you on that forum.

Anyway , if you're not confirming if you're reffering at the env_sound , then what the heck you're reffering by "roomtype" ?

env_sound is a little buggy, so I wouldn't recommend using it unless necessary.
MuzzleFlash that's a little harsh, closing the thread, is it not?

Someone should answer him properly instead of arguing with each other. :furious:

Now, use an env_sound just inside the entrances of your cave and set it to the room type you want. Give it a big enough radius to cover the entrances. Then, put another env_sound with the "Normal" room type just outside all the entrances so that when you leave you don't hear things like you are in a cave. If the entire map is a cave put one near every player_start so that the effects work correctly.

I am just better detailing the use of an env_sound because Muzzleflash already said how. (btw, don't upset admins!!! :crowbar: )

There are no glitches with env_sound potatis_invalid
