Hey guys, simple question. I got a new computer, and i want to put half-life 2 on it, can i install it using the original half-life 2 copy i got when it came out? Or do i have to buy another copy of the game?

Download and install Steam.

From there, login, then install it off of your games list.

Since it's impossible to be playing from two different locations simultaneously, you shouldn't try that.

Why shouldn't he?
I'm playing Steam games on both my Mac and my PC, and I have never had any problems with that.

Satchmo: Do you think Valve check to see if players are using the games on multiple accounts and ban them? I somehow doubt that ^^

just log out of steam on the old computer :/
it's not like you get punished for having your account on two computers.

As long as you aren't playing it at the same time it's fine. I have my steam on my pc, my brothers pc, and my dad's pc, depending on which isn't being used when I want to play.

If someone would be using my PC, I'd be like, "HEY! You get your bitch ass back in the kitchen and make me some pie!"

Steam work with accounts, you can play your games on ANY computer so long as you log into your account. They will download and install but only that account can access them. The only thing Steam will do is cut one connection if you are logged in on two computers AT THE SAME TIME. but thats not what he wants to do, he wants to log in on another computer

2.8 gig what? RAM? HDD? No, it can't be any of that. It makes no sense.

I'm guessing that he means a 2.8GHz CPU.
