I opened up worldcraft the other day and i was all of a sudden unable to select in the 3d window. I can move the camera around but i cant select objects in the 3d window and i cant select object faces to apply texture either. This problem has completely stopped me mapping. Its really really starting to irritate me that i cant just jump on and continue my maps. I dont know how it happened but one day it was fine, the next day it wasnt. iv tried looking for 'hotkeys' that might have changed something but iv searched and searched and i cant find anything that can fix it. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Use Hammer Editor instead of Worldcraft.
In case that doesn't help, do you have an ATI video card?

never use worldcraft, it's old outdated, and they are not updating worldcraft, they are updating hammer now (even though hammers the same program, it's newer and is better then worldcraft)

and yeah, what card are you using?

Enjoy your shitty ATI-drivers.

Why does ATI have to be shitty? I had an ATI card, and to be honest, I had less problems with my ATI card then I do my Nvidia.

Regardless, its a driver problem.
ATI dropped support of OpenGL a while back, so if you want to use Hammer, you have to use older drivers.

I had the same problem in January.

Yeah but what if you can't downgrade ? I can't downgrade to older drivers because they don't support my video card ( it's too new   )
So here we are , 3 of us with problems on this forum ( and more in the rest of the world ) .
Why Ati ? Whhhy ?!

Ati is better then NVidea? orly? how about the fact that Ati dropped opengl support? does that make Ati "better"? :pwned:

damnit, i've edited my post like, three times now due to spelling and grammar issues :pwned:

It's likely the most stupid decision i've seen a card manufacturer make. They basicly ruled out the whole opensource and freeware community.

No, you stupid fuck. Vista has opengl support but it's up to the driver-manufacturers to implement it correctly.

It even says on the Anim8or-website:
Theoretically Anim8or should work under the Vista operating system without any problem. However the OS and graphics drivers have a lot of new things to do to make this happen with the added complexity of Vista's new compositing desktop...
