In a TWHL Counter-Strike: Source server?
16 slots, public, 100 tick, de-branded, 6 month contract, limitless capacity for maps.
I was going to just go ahead, get it and make it a nice surprise for you, but at ?130 it is a bit pricey, so i thought i should check.
I'm only willing to spend that kind of money on this community if it will actually get used.
Would y'all be interested...

I wouldn't mind. I'd certainly play again. Been ages since I played CSS.
But that does seem like a lot to pay...Me thinks hosting it from your own PC would be enough to cover the small amount of people who would join at a time.

i would say private though, so you can keep out the random coons that pop in and out when they please and ruin the game by blocking hallways and spawning bots (just generalising here)

Nobody would ever play if it was private. There aren't enough members here to keep it populated 24/7, let alone enough members who play CSS. Bots don't help population, either. I tried it a few times, and it usually got worse.

I personally like TF2 and CSS about the same at the moment.
My decision to make the server CSS was down to the fact that not many people here map for TF2 and the whole point of a TWHL server would be to showcase member maps.

Well yeah, it needs lots of RAM - although I don't really understand what for - but that doesn't change the fact, that once you're in, it's a helluva lot fun. The gameplay and the characters are great, so you can't say that it sucks, just because it takes ages to load.
Back in the days, when I had a Celeron 433 with 64 MB RAM and played Max Payne, it took like 5-10 minutes to load a map, but I still played it, because it was awesome

When you have only have 5, if lucky 10 minutes playtime before the map changes again it isn't so fun. That the gameplay and characters are great is YOUR opinion btw, it thought it was rather 'meh'.

Ok, it's my opinion, although if you have a good sense of humour and like games, that are purely fun, I can't understand how you can call it 'meh'. Whaterver, different people, different tastes.

I just finally got a source-capable machine so i'm in. (bought orange box too so if we get the tf2 server i'll be ready).
Some DoD:S would be nice too if anyone plays that (i have still yet to buy it but i loved the old DoD.
