TWHL3 is a site developed (or actually still in development) for functionality and cleanliness, not messy, in-your-face unnecessaries....and I like it this way. I don't see what your point is in having a shitload of images. It's clean, loads fast, and is free from any unnecessary stuff, that would only slow it down.
Other mapping sites look shit . Why ?

Some admins from here ( as far as I know) don't have a good internet connection and it's really annoying to wait for the images to load . That's why I think TWHL lacks of images . ( i'm not talking about the forums).One does but that has no bearing on it, the goal is to create a website that's quick regardless. Page processing is NOT just dependant on how fast somebody's internet is. But like I said, loads of images are both unnecessary and quite often an eyesore.

Wow, wait, Snarkpit changed their theme? WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT? I'll be damned if that isn't a downgrade... and I didn't even think that was possible considering the uncannily finicky system of navigation they had going. Trying to filter everything but Half-Life 1 maps took going through at least four different screens to get to. It was almost as annoying as the lengthy charade you have to go through to view your own maps on this site. Why our genius developers didn't think there was a need for a "my profile" button somewhere on that sidebar, I'll never know.

TWHL looks awesome, I like the simple colorscheme. Besides that, it's very simple to get around with. Snarkpit however, ow snarkpit.. SUX LAWLS! In all seriousness, I never liked Snarkpit before because it wasn't as functional as TWHL and the black colorscheme they had was ugly. What suprises me is that they somehow found a way to make the site look even worse than it was before. Sjeesh, the pictures aren't evenly compressed well (and thus look way to pixely)! Besides, TWHLs community (even tho we have a lack of new members (which I mostly blame for elitist regulars and the fact we still focus to much on goldsource)) is lots nicier (atleast, i've experienced it that) than Snarkpits community (lawl orpheus).

What's remarkable with TWHL is that unlike the majority of all community sites, it's not a template. The forums are all hand-coded, first by atom, then recoded by our favourite Penguinboy with able assistance from Strideh and Ant - and they've done a god job doing it. Nigh-compliant (yes, there's still some invalidity 
) HTML, clean and easy-on-the-eyes design and solid PHP work. Even some AJAX detail work as icing on the cake.

Besides, TWHLs community (even tho we have a lack of new membersIt's better like that . That way , we have time to familiarize ourselves . Even more , TWHL isn't a crowd of stupid people . Most of them ( at least , the active members) are far more than mediocre .

ya, I love twhl too.. just have been busy with real life, so I'm kindof going in another direction away from just Half-life... but more into video game design... I pop in from time to time though.. It's still a great communtiy, even though I'm forgotten.

Really?....On what do you base that on?They make the comparison videos between 360 and ps3 with locked settings on the ps3, so you don't see the real graphics of the ps3.
To me, it seems GameTrailers.com has a bigger Sony PS3 community that the Microsoft Xbox360 community.
2nd) They made a video of a car racing game showing the "both" consoles on a divided screen, 360 screen have far better graphics than the ps3 screen. So you see all the video and you say "OMG PS3 sucks!!!". But at the end of the video they forgot to delete a thing, they forgot to delete the replay buttons from both consoles, and voil?, both screens had the same fucking buttons, the PS3 buttons! So the tards showed the real PS3 graphics as the 360 graphics, and the locked ps3 graphics as the ps3 graphics. When they noticed the error they deleted the video, but someone was faster than them and recorded it, you can watch it on youtube, Veoh, etc...
3rd) MGS4 9,3 score, 8,7 story score. Halo 3 9,8 score, 9,5 story, for the most gayest game ever.

i like this site it has lots of valuable information. while i do have some complaints about functions, its hard to say anything when there are really no other places available. It is pretty hard to break in here, and im not so sure thats a bad thing. Someone said it takes hours to get things answered in here... are you kidding me? if someone cant wait a few hours then screw them. it beats the hell out of waiting days months or years at other mapping sites that overall blow (with teeth)!
