I have been a member here for a long time now. I remember when one of our leaders and I had built our first map together (was never completely finished, but it was a start)

For the majority of my membership here, I have been toying with the idea of putting up my own server. But had an issue with exactly what MOD to go under. Well, tonight I made my choice!

You will find a Counter Strike: Source game server at the address below this paragraph. PLEASE BE ADVISED that the server name "-=SWAT=- Practice Server" os for a future endeavor I will be executing soon!

Does anyone know how I can ease the control of the server? IOW, are there Admin plugins anywhere?

the admin plugin I use for the TWHL CSS server is Mani.

It's basically the industry standard of source server plugins and has a ridiculous number of variables so you can set your server up just right.
It also allows some fun things like ranks, betting and that laser thing that shows dead people where they were killed from. All are optional.

New Jersey is where it is.

TWHL1337 (case sensitive) is the PW... It's a 12 player server.

I got the private server cuz it was the cheapest I could get.

New jersey? that's got the be the closest server to me I've ever seen. Perhaps I'll try playing it, perhaps for a lower ping.

Although I'm not counting on it, since I get 80 Ping on a Chicago server, while I'm near Philadelphia :/

Wow, New Jersey is damn close to me. When I get my computer back from the shop I may stop in and play.

Okay I appear to be having some admin issues... I have the plugins installed. I'll have to tinker with it when I get home tomorrow. See if I can switch the maps... it's stuck on de_dust

Try restarting the server. Sometimes that solves the problems with map rotation.

Make sure your mp_timelimit > 0;
.. and make sure your mp_roundlimit = 0.
