Hello,

Im making a map where you fall from a very big height to another level. Now, I placed a water brush, func_water. Its 16 units heigh. I only need the effect that you dont lose HP when falling. But, you hear the water sound. And because im a perfectionist, I dont wanna hear that sound.

So, is it possible to remove the sound for every client. Or is there another way to create the same effect, no hp lose after a big fall.

im afrade you need coding for this... or maybe try doing this: replace the water textures material in the notepad with anything else youd like, that might work... again, i dont really know much about the material notepad, but maybe also try removing the text for the water texture so you get no sound aswell.

An alternative you could try is a func_push that catches the player near the bottom, but is too high for the player to jump back into.

I tried this a few hours ago and trust me, its a serious pain in the butt to get it right. It all depends on how you jimp into the shaft. Sometimes you get pushed back up, sometimes you go though but still receive fall damage.
