I wonder why the Blue Spy didn't shoot the disguised Red Spy in the head right when he walked in.

He knew that the Blue Scout was compromised because he's being black-mailed. So obviously the Blue Scout is most likely the Red Spy.

Does that mean the Blue Spy is stupid? How did he end up with those photos anyway?

Nah, it simply makes his revolver more useful in timely situations. Its just.. if you miss, you wont get to fire again before they kill you >_>

If it's really as accurate as they say it is, then it's just a gun for people with better aim. No spread means no missing when you're clearly aiming at the person. That can't be said about the default revolver, even if the spread is low.

Accidentally hitting someone with the spread from the default revolver when you weren't aiming at them happens a lot less than missing when you were pointing at them.

Not nessisarely. The Blue spy may have just known it was the Scout's mother, but the scout may not have been blackmailed, just the red spy fancied his mom.

The scout who was the red spy was having problems getting through the door at the beginning of the video though.. and he seems like a reasonably smart character, heh.

This update may be hell. Everyone will shoot everyone cause everyone is a spy. And if everyone on your team is a spy, you only have to see someone dressed blue of another class to know its a spy.

The regular revolver's damage is scaled based on distance, though. I would have to imagine that the same would apply to this gun as well; otherwise, there would be little purpose to actually spy.

Not sure whether Jarate will be useful, but I have to admire valve's ever present sense of humor.

Anyway, back to the topic... Jarate seems like a gimic, but breaking the spy's cloak will be very useful with the new spy cloak...Exept in 2fort...Anyway, it's the only thing keeping the spy from being overpowered if you can use both watches.

Also, criticals for headshots on the ambassador is fucking ridiculous. But there are plenty of awesome additions and changes to make it an awesome update. I just wish I could connect to the Steam network and use the new weapons.

Yeah, the weapons system is pretty odd. There were guys playing who were far better than me and had been playing for 6+ hours and not recieved any new weapons. I got The Ambassador, The Flare Gun and The Kritzkrieg within 2 hours. I practically stumbled upon them.

Unlocks suck ass now. There's no way to know how to get them, they just appear.

I played for 3 hours today, never got one. Some guy comes in and within 15 minutes has has 3.

While i agree that the new system is bollocks, I do also agree that the old system was extremely flawed too. Achievment farmers ruin the game.

I think they're making it too complicated, it was fine the way it was before the loadout system at all, and now there's new headgear, and hundreds of weapons you can get at random, and you can only have 50... I know it's the long awaited TF2, but it's getting too compilcated, and It'll just be harder and harder for new players to get into. (and me, who only gets to play once every month or so at a friend's house)

They should make the headgear random, and give the unlocks to everyone. This solves all problems.

Or use the loadout menu to also determine your headgear for each class. That way people would get the headgear they want AND it'd help the 'mercenary' theme a bit, as players could change their character's look to fit their style.
On a side note, my friend already deleted Natchsa from his loadout. He sees it as the only useless unlock so far. I dunno, It might come in handy someday, only he does'nt have it anymore...

...But valve was planning on adding even more weapons that get unlocked randomly/after acheviments, and you could only hold 50 in the loadout menu.

Grinding for a few hours is replaced by spectating for a few days. Either way, the unlockables will be "whored". People want to use them after all that hype. And when you finally do, you feel dirty for getting it because everyone else is still waiting for it.
I've seen 4 servers today that had more spectators than either team's players. The former acheivement farmers aren't even playing now. Tell me that's better than the other system.

Edit: I'm doing to exact same thing right now, and have been all day. And I couldn't give less of a shit because I want to play with those new unlockables that have been talked up for the past week.

Let me get this straight. So, the descriptions of the achievements - i.e. what you need to do, to get them - don't count any more, only the time you're playing?

I can't try the new system for the next two weeks, so forgive me, that I don't get it.

Achievements are just personal goals now. The unlocks are awarded to you randomly when you play... or just wait in the spawn room.

New system sucks. Half the players only try to get achivements for new weapons, don't they? And now noone will play untill the have all the weapons, which will be never because of the loadout menu's storage limit.
