Is that like a chain restaurant in the US? If so, we don't get it here.

Yeah, it is PB. Its a bit over-rated and expensive, but the foods alright.

It's an Australian themed bar/steakhouse with boomerangs on the walls.

I once visited Outback Steakhouse when I used to live in Pennsylvania, U.S. The quality of the food was okay, nothing spectacular. The only gripe I have about them was the table service, the waitress took forever to give me my check so I could pay. And I do agree with TheGrimReafer, they were somewhat expensive, and I think their food portions were too small for amount they charge. If you ask me, Applebee's is a better alternative.

Well, one restaurant that we all can agree on that's freak'en everywhere, even perhaps in Australia's Outback, is McDonald's. Man...I am so tired of seeing that place everywhere I go!

I'm tired of not seeing health warnings on their food. People know they're getting obsese off it, and yet they still eat there.

I find the meat in McDonalds disgusting. Cant understand why anyone would want to eat it. And usually the smell/air coming from the place makes me semi-vomit.

It's because of all the commercials, probably.
I'm a vegetarian so I don't visit hamburger restaurants very often, but when I do it's never a McDonald's. There are much better places to go to.

I agree with pepper on McDonald's. I find the same is true about subway though, the supposedly 'healthy fastfood'. It really smells bad for some reason, you can tell if someone's eaten there. I like good old fashioned restaurants :P. Better yet buy some pasta and cook it yourself, mmm... pasta...

Outback Steakhouse is as authentic as a Taco Bell staffed with black people.

They could be black Mexicans. African American parents but raised in Mexico. Moved to the USA to sell tacos.

Considering the same man advertised World of Warcraft worldwide, I'm thinking...no.

I have never been to a steakhouse but there are a few here in the UK, usually in holiday towns in the south. I rarely eat out these days but when I do I usually go to Wetherspoon's in Hanley or Newcastle. Traditional English resteraunt and bar.

When Burger King attempted to start their line of restaurants in Australia they faced a problem. The name 'Burger King' was an already registered business name in Australia. They fought with the company owner demanding that they relinquish their ownership of the business name but the guy refused to budge. Legally, he had every right to keep the name so Burger King was forced to change their name...the man who was starting the Australian franchise was named Jack...so they named it Hungry Jacks

As an old employee, i know what goes in the food, and i do know how incredibly bad it is for you. I gained 20 pounds in a year eating applebees food 2x a week.

Despite running from table to table, i still didnt lost the weight.

Well. The food is pretty good. I do enjoy Their cowboy burger (Regular bacon chz burger with a giant onion ring and barbecue sauce on it)
And also their french dip sliders (Roast beef on sourdough bread with French-AuJu' Dipping sauce)

And if you ever do go, stay away from anything labeled "Oriental"
The dressing on anything oriental is comprised of 90% chicken fat.

I do like the outback.
I think they go over-the-top with the Aussie theme, but they have a great selection of beer and their steaks are the best 'cheap' steaks you can get.

As for it being australian..... They have fosters, and they have a lot of lame names for their menu items:

Kids menu is the "Joey Menu"
The steak and chicken menu is the "Barbie Section"

There's a whole bunch of wallaby-whathaveyou's and Koala-khalua-thingies in the drink menu.

It's clever, but stupid, and i only go out to dinner with my Girlfriend's family and i rarely have to pay for anything but my drink, and my share of the tip.

When I was in Chicago, we actually ate at an Outback Steakhouse (mostly due to the proximity of our hotel). Great food, and more importantly lots of it. Then again, American portions always seem huge to us :3. We had a great waitress too. Come to think of it, that's probably one of the best chain-whatever meals I've ever had.
