Anyone know how to make func_waters not glow for a dark map? I find with rendermode set to texture, any renderfx amount above 40 or so makes the water glow bright, which is not desirable for what i'm trying to do.

I've tried dicking with the minimum light level to no avail...

I believe water is rendered fullbright regardless of other lighting conditions. I know the only way I've ever been able to darken water is to make it more and more transparent, at least with func_water.

If you can deal with no waves or distortion, you could just switch the func_water to a func_illusionary filled with "volumetric light".

Edit: Or you could just darken the actual water texture. That would probably be the best solution.
