Does anyone really care about this any more then? I posted in my journal that I was in the process of recording a new episode and the reception I got was frosty at best.

Well, I still like the idea. But I guess it's the view of the majority that counts.

I would fucking love to see MOTM reviews again.
I'll even offer to do some of the reviews to help catch up if I'm allowed to.

Edit: The reviews are so far behind, I'm not sure it's even possible to completely catch up with a handful of people doing a review whenever they feel like doing one.

the MOTM reviews? i know what MOTM is, just not the reviews part.

Go to any given MoTM month, and click on the "review1" ect. links.

I think the idea of winning something for your work is appetizing, that's why it kicked off. We had the same symptoms when the Forum/Tutorial/Vault awards were introduced. Everyone wanted one to write a tutorial or something. However, a map of the month that has the highest rating each month gets a spotlight. The MotM award could be obtained statistically. There are problems with that though, since the rating could be fluffed up with multiple account spamming.

I'm divided on the topic. You can either have it done automatically, or not and remove the MotM completely and stop complaining about it.

The whole problem with MOTM is that the reviews don't get done, not that maps aren't being picked.

Plus the reviewers get the final say in that the MoTM is anyway, so spam ratings get pushed aside for quality.

It's my fault everything's ridiculously late.

It's been a busy period for me now with a job (second one coming up), uni, etc., leaving little to no time at all for this. The fact that my connection is beyond shit doesn't help playtesting multiplayer maps either.
Right now I'm spending most of my free time working on a new portfolio, as it's fairly crucial if I want to make a living off web design.

I'll have a chat with the reviewers, see if I can find someone to replace me & do something about the crazy situation this is in.

Really sorry about the letdown.

Like I said, I can lend a helping hand if you let me.

I for one, love the MoTM reviews, and would love to see them continued.

I wish I could do something to help.
