O_O

Good thing I replaced mine however as a real kick in the nuts we had it done a few weeks before the Gov said they'd pay ?400 for any old boilers and to top it off even more some pikey gypsy came and took it away right in front of my father who thought they were the real mean who were going to pick it up.

Oh yeah did I mention the old boiler lasted over 20 years and this new boiler only lasts about 10.

Had -16 this morning. I guess that's fairly cold, especially for these parts. Tough shit with the boiler going out though, that's got to suck. D:

Good thing my boiler is only 2 years old.
It's really cold here too, not as there, but last week it was fucking ice cold. Everything was rock-hard outside.

That's what you usually get during winter where I come from, too, CF.

It gets panic-y over -10/15 here in Scotland, though. Schools, roads closing down, power plants barely managing to keep up with the huge demand for energy used in heating. Not to mention the complete chaos in the transport system caused by ~1(?) foot of snowfall? Crazy stuff.

.. temperatures like that don't seem to odd for Australia in the summertime. Depends on which part you're talking about, though. Personally, I'd prefer the heat. 40 is a tad much, but anything ~30-35 is fine.

Lawlstralian summers.
How's that working out for you?

Edit: How cold does it get in the winter, then?

I wish I was back in Australia. It's freezing here, and whowever built my house was retarded enough to put almost all of the plumbing on the outside. And they must have thought that wasn't bad enough, so rather than taking the direct route, they made the main water supply wrap around the entire house. About 200m of piping exposed to the cold. We've had no water for weeks.

-16 here according to Google (I'm too lazy to run downstairs and check the thermometer, just search for "weather <city>" without quotes), it's not that bad.

Oh LOL

This just about sums up the weather down in my city (in the south east of Australia). Of course it's different for other places, up in the tropics, in the deserts, etc.

That record high we had was last year when those horrific bushfires happened. 40+ is pretty common during the summer.

Those record lows are a bit deceiving, can't say I've ever seen anything even remotely close to that low. It usually gets down to about 5 or 6 minimum overnight in the middle of winter, and I've never seen it snow in the city at all.

Lowest temperature in my town this winter (so far) has been -22 degrees celsius, during the day. I can only guess what it is during the night. Lowest in the entire country so far is -38.8 degrees.

Needless to say, it sucks. Being outside for more than 10 minutes is physically painful.

Cold?

What Cold?

Hmmm,...that's funny, I don't feel any cold. He,he....Oh yea.....I always knew it would come in handy to have a second house on a tropical island in the Caribbean.

Oh by the way, I will be going to a party this Sunday to a beach called "Condado", near the capital of Puerto Rico. It's about 30 minutes from my house. Here's a picture of it:

You can bet your asses that when I do go back to the U.S., it will be in at least late April or early June. As far as I am concerned, old man winter can go to hell!

It's cold up here in CT, USA (been around 20deg F for the past week) But I'm heading north pretty soon on a Snowboarding trip for 5 days. I'm gonna be freezing my ass of on a ski lift for 5 whole days- can't wait. Seriously :)

I can't wait for summer to come... I hate wearing 10 kg of clothes all the day.
And it's really annoying when I have sport at school at 8:00 am, and the sports building isn't properly heated.
