You'd have to have a lot of fucking mentality to dig the entirety of that with that level of precision without going completely insane

I line up a lot of my large digs by coordinates by pressing F3.

Also, I was thinking of a little mini Minecraft contest inspired by what Naserve and I did on the SnC server.

Premise: You have 7 days to construct the most bad-ass looking Nether Portal you can make. This means fire, decorations, and anything to make it look like a true gate to hell. Submit screenshots when finished.

Also found out that if you have errors getting online, you can still connect. You just can't connect to any server IP ending in 25565.

...and the pig spawners are a pretty big cheat too.

Anyhu, I decide to see how long it would take to dig Stu's hole in the full version.

After 62 layers, time to climb the ladder for crafting piackaxes and a shovel, sleeping at night, making stronger tools as I went and a lava flow towards the end, it took me about an hour to make an 8x5 hole.

Also, here's my home in the world I'm mainly playing atm.

I'd advise against having your nether portal out in the open like that. IIRC, ghasts can be spawned from portals if they have enough room to spawn.

It's really rare though, like incredibly rare. I had a Nether portal out in the open like that in my first world for a while and nothing ever spawned. Either way even if one did spawn, one Ghast wouldn't be that hard to deal with.

@DiscoStu: Making that in the free build version is nothing. You just have to click on a block and it's gone. It takes REAL dedication to do that in the full version, when destroying a block can take up to a couple of seconds each.

...oh.

Looks deeper than mine, though. Maybe I got a shallow world.

I can still argue about "that level of precision" though. It shouldn't be too hard - there's just one level of precision.

Impressed with the crater, disappointed in the tunnels though. Maybe I should just fill them in completely with TNT... >.>

EDIT: I reloaded the backup and did it again for fun. I just love how you hear the explosions go on for a little over a minute even after they disappear from sight. >:D

Minecraft is awesome. I'm working on my own version of the citidel, and it goes all the way down to bedrock. So far, from bedrock up, I've managed to get 3/4 of the way done.

I really need to start taking better safety precautions then using fire/lava in/near my wood floors.

I didn't know a fire can start 3 blocks away from lava.

So guys, do you think it worths the risk of being addicted or should I not buy it? It's also pretty expensive. I'd pay more for the concept rather than content. Plus, what if it suddenly becomes free, like tf2? ( btw is tf classic free?)

I lived in PEI for 16+years, and 3mnths ago I moved to BC...
My parents moved to BC 3 years ago, but I stayed in PEI because I had a serious relationship, in which case, did'nt work out..

She was a slut.

So I moved to BC for moral support and whatnot. blah blah blah.. lovin' it here though

I left when I noticed Dimbark was on the server and that the Grand Central Station of the server had big holes where its roof should be. It made me question the decision of putting the IP in the public domain.
