Ah yes I forgot about the new NPCS. I don't like them, that is all I have to say about them. I really don't like them, they creep me out but not in a good way like I stated above, they're just...wrong. It's the way they look, I wanted something human, not squidward.

Villagers look weird indeed, but im sure they are all placeholders and will replaced later on.
Also, why priests? Why not actual villagers wearing pants en shirts? Just regular guys.

They're not all priests. There are 6 variations, one of which is just ordinary villagers. They do mostly tend to wear robes, though, which is weird for non-priests.
EDIT: Is anyone else not getting any sound but NPC sounds and water sounds in 1.8.1? Like, no mining sounds, item pickup sounds, footsteps, etc.
EDIT2: Okay, I don't know why it happened, but I think I know how to fix it. Apparently minecraft's launcher only downloaded the newsound folder when it downloaded the game. I'll have to get the other 4 folders from a friend monday or something.

any one else's minecraft keep crashing? Java keeps crapping out at random times for me. Just walking or mining... nothing too hardcore

Loving the pre-releses. These are pretty fun. I hate how the Adventure up went from being one update(1.7) to a 3+ part update (1.8-1.?) though.

Atom, look again. It may mean something else, but the symbol is there, and I took Japanese in high school. Some of those symbols match some Katakana characters. I see characters that look like 'n' and 'fu'. At least they do in that typeface.

Strangely I haven't been playing the new releases, I actually set my version back to 1.7.3 and have been playing some cool mods, Industrialcraft, Buildcraft, and Equivalent Exchange. Once 1.9 officially releases though I'll put that save aside for the epic new stuff coming.

Wow. MC sure has a thing for making more powerful items make you look more and more stupid huh? Seriously. I hope at some point the Armour appearance is revamped. Otherwise I'm going to have to resort to waiting for painterly packs to be updated with every MC release.
