Looking around the archive; With all due respect to Atom, we've come a long way since TWHL was first founded.
I love this community, and it seems like I've been here for a lot less time than I actually have. It's quiet here, but it's a peaceful quiet, not a lonely one.

Would be nice if TWHL can resist at least until we get 3D immersion devices so we can virtually meet and talk face-to-face. This is very probable by the end of this decade. (although I also imagine the bad part of this: a lot of the population using such devices could be transformed into consuming vegetables if the devices are not coupled with actual physical response mechanisms).

That's a nice idea. I find myself being able to talk to a limited amount of members since I went to college, Steam ports are blocked.

Something like that, I believe (though not sure) that you can setup a router at home (using dd-wrt) and connect to it so that that it becomes a proxy. I have one router for testing purposes but don't have a limited connection to test with

Personally I prefer Steam to Skype, because it seems to be slightly less in the way, but the direct file sharing is definitely a big plus.
