Does the recent build of GoldSource support model transparency?
Does Counter-Strike 1.6?
Referencing this: http://twhl.info/vault.php?map=5225, it seems like you need new DLLs but I can't find any reliable information.

Shoutout to anyone (especially Rimrook) to see if he can shed some light on this.

Setup the textures as you would for Hammer Sledge and and compile it normally and all that. No extra crap in the QC script.

Using Jeb's model viewer or a model viewer that can do this, inspect the texture and check the transparent checkbox then go file > save model and give it a new name and use that one.

That's it.

That would affect the entire model, though.

I'm actually looking to affect both rendering and transparency.
For instance.. semi-transparent crystals.
Or plants

Yes. :3
It works the same as the in-game textures (256th color must be solid blue/red/green).

Don't try with WON Half-Life and its mods because it doesn't work. I've also tried to use the Steam version's DLLs with it, but I got no luck.

So do you need Jebs to affect render modes, or is that all handled with the QC file?

You just need Jeb's HLMV. :3

To Update this thread for reference, Open the model with Jeds Model Viewer, Tick the ADDITIVE option, and things become transparent.
Transparency is based on the amount of black in the texture. more black(darker) = more transparent
