I'm always making big maps. I love big maps and crowded servers :D .
But if map shold be big, then viewable distance value should be big right?

Max viewable distance's default value is 4096.
My map's size is 2432w 4096l and 1008h...

Should i incrace max viewable distance's value???

if you can stand on one side of the map and see the other side, then yes.

If you do, I would suggest learning how to use HINT/SKIP tool textures. The max viewable distance is there for optimisation on large maps.

very true, but if he has a large open area, the hint brushes won't really help much

I don't know what is hint brush? I googled but didn't understand. Is it somehing like bulletproof or grenadeproof???

And i think this is not for HL1 and CS...

Hint brushes are used to regulate how your visleaves are cut, thus allowing you more control over visibility and optimization in your map. I think they were technically a Source engine thing first, but there are mod tools like ZHLT that allow you to use them in GoldSrc.
