Been a while since I posted but lets not worry about that. I made a TFC map and when i finished it, it didnt compile. It ran the game and said - no precache *1
Somebody PLEASE help me :zonked:

Maybe posting the compile log (you have at least something in it I guess) would help claryfying your problem to us...

mapname.log, in the folder where you store your .rmf files.

its not there at all, i even did a search, but i will post the rmf file, its called killtheshake.... see if you can do something cuz its really getting annoying not being able to play it..

hmm.. I used to make TFC and I never got that error. Go to Tommy's site.

Have you been able to compile TFC maps before? I mean, just simple basic maps like a box with a player-start and a light?

Heh, it was the kill the shake map, non? Have you already turned these complex things (tank, missile, car, etc.) into func_walls?

Not only the leaf count, it'll also reduce VIS and RAD compile times greatly, plus that it would improve performance as you get less faces.

Just try them out as entities and see what happens.

Seen from the complexity, I'd say face splitting causes this.

Or do you run in software mode maybe? Since that only draws 800 polygons maximum on screen...
