plz plz plz plzplz plz if someone can help me
i want to add a command line the HL.EXE shortcut that create directly a map but in multiplayer deathmatch mode.
i try this :
c:gameshalf lifehl.exe -deathmatch 1 +map boot_camp.bsp

it work but i have the map in singleplayer mode

Well, do a search on Google, it's all available. But as far as I know, you'll have to use the parameters '+host ...', '+hostname ...' and '+map ...'. '+maxplayers ...' is also a working parameter. Well, try some stuff out, do a search and you'll find out.

It's in MP but created locally/over your LAN instead of online. I think CP is right, you'll have to use those commands to enable online MP. It's not that much of a hassle to go in and create a game manually, so if it doesn't work, don't spend too much time on it.

As for running in MP, I did a bit more research on the commands and it looks like you'll have to use the +host command, but the sites I checked were very vague on it's usage...maype input your IP in the host command?

With WON, you had to add "+connect:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" "password:XXXX", but that was to start your multiplayer game in Halflife in a specific server... and that was an extention on a shortcut target. Didn't work on the hl.exe app.

i tried
+deathmatch 1 ==> nothing always on singleplayer mode
+map ***** ==> too
+host ==> nothing it seems like an unknown or inactive command

Maybe -lan 1?
