Is it possible to make an armored truck (moving) with func_tanks? I want to make a cs map, something like cts start in big armored turck filled with many func_tanks and are moving to their destination (vip map). Terrors are beggining at destination point and can buy weapons (cts can not). So, is it possible to make a slow moving truck like that? If func_tanks are entities they would just not move :( (or i think so, i don't want to begin if there is no sense in that map : )

You could fake it.
Just make the trucks static and move the entire landscape. Like in UTs speed map.

Or in Ut2004's as_convoy. Best. Assault. Map. Evar!

hey, if it's not possible to have a moving func_tank (or mortar) than how valve created that tank thats moving, stopping and than was attacking player?

:D D'oh!
Ever heard of faking?
I can't remember seeing those tanks in any of valve's maps, btw. So mods had this though.

In some area's in Surface Tension, such tanks did show up. In fact, there was a func_tank present at the place where the vehicle would stop, and it was only activated when the vehicle stopped there. With env_renders, it was then made visible (and the turret that moved, wich was actually a func_train, was either killtargeted or rendered away. Probably killtargeted as it shouldn't catch bullets so to say).

So, that's indeed faking, as hazardous! already said.

But to use such things in a CS map... I guess it's far too advanced for now. Maybe it's possible with a lot of entity trickery, but I think it's better to wait for CS2 and await it's possibilities. Nice idea though.
