When I walk backwards to a door I made it opens towards me, as if I'm pulling it. I don't want this. How do I make it open normally when I walk backwards to it?

You need to set the direction it opens with the Yaw compass in the properties dialog.

The doors tutorial doesn't explain yaw, roll, or pitch, explaining these are advanced tools that are not of much use in doors.

Most importantly is the direction - use the little compass in the top-right to point the movement in the right direction. This will move the door in that direction on the Z axis (moving along the top view)
From the doors tut...

That explains it pretty well. You don't need to bother with pitch or roll. Yaw is at the top right.

you COULD reverse the direction, but then it would open towards you when you walk into normally :|

you could make the door go inside the walls or in the ceiling.....or make a button activate the door and make the door a func_train and have it run a set of paths

Gman probably means a func_door_rotating, wich does indeed open towards you when you walk into them backwards...

I don't think that can be changed, although the door can be set to only open in one direction...

First of all, it IS a func_door_rotating, and second - If I put it in "reverse dir" my door opens towards me when I'm walking towards it. Is the problem with the backwards thing fixable at all? Because I think I've seen the same problem in other HL maps. I'll try looking at a SP map... to see if there's the same thing there...

It's not a problem, it's intentionally coded in order to allow people to choose which way to open a door.

Tick 'one way'? If it opens the wrong one way, tick "reverse dir".
