ok, im thinkin about making a really cool mod for HL, i wanted to include vehicles, either controlled by the player, or have the player using a mounted gun on the back or top...... give me some clues about how i could go about doing either plz... couldnt find any tutorials

sounds kinda impossible cause hav u heard of that mod people are making based on a halo map and they wanted to put cars in it and later they said they are going to convert their map into hl2 graphics and add the new veichule in hl2 with a mounted gun already attached!

hmm ok, so i would just have to give the person an Uber weapon, and put them on a track train i guess

Its never a good idea to think about making a mod untill you can do just about anything possible in mapping.

Start off small. Learn to walk before you can run...a bird in the hand...and so forth.

Though vehicles are always nice.

i ran before i walked..... admitably into a table, but it was still a run! and a bird in my hand??? probably not a good idea, i have held a falcon though

A truck/train full of ammo and weapons with a noclip at the back sounds like the best bet for a minimod/map/map-pack as opposed to a mod proper. Its just as plausable to have a truck full of ammo and weapons as it is to have a big ass gun, so its the cheaper alternative.

If you want the gun to move with the truck, you need spirit. Look it up in the tutorials or in the fourms.

sumtimes i hate spirit cause of all the upgrades it has whereas halfl life is an original and should be left alone oh and i scared myself on horror map thanks to mephs cause he told me how to do it
