It isn't possible to move func_lasers is it? I mean the source of the laser itself. I wanted to have horizontal laser beams from follow behind you down a corridor as you walked along it. I thought I'd have figured out some way round this but...no. (like the corridor in that resident evil movie)

If anyone knows of a way to produce the effect of laserbeams moving like this other than having a relay of a load of lasers along the corridor (it looked naff when I tried it) please suggest them.

Otherwise I'll just have to have the lasers only activate when you reach the end of the corridor at the last func_corner. sigh

You can have a func_train that goes the length of the corridor, and then have the func_laser target the name of the func_train....dunno if that's the effect you want though.

that would create a laster linked to something moving. I want it to look like a straight beam moving along the corridor. Cheers though.

Use two func_trains for the beginning and end and an env_beam instead of env_laser.

I'll try that at home later....thank you the ever elusive SlayerA! ;)

env_beams are generally better.

It works! hurrah! I have to say i've never bothered with env_beams before, but I dont really see the point of hammer/hl having func_lasers now!

looks round to thank SlayerA but he's dissapeared into the shadows again

I'm gonna make a SlayerA signal and stick it on my roof in case Gothem city needs him once more. :P

My point was the lack of hyphenation :P

Yeah...but i chose to ignore that, in favor of SlayerAs post. ("Seventh-Monkey" why the hell is THAT hyphenated?) :P

Ah, but he was quoting you ;)

Because I like hyphens. So there. Anyway, this is spam so let's ditch it.

And furthermore http://www.guardian.co.uk/Observer/comment/story/0,6903,940125,00.html you'll note that why "ever elusive" is hyphenated by some people, The Guardian does not, so I have them at least to back me up. You tit. ;)
(I can't beleive I looked that up!)
