Ive just spend the last 5 hours recreating a map from a different game and ive run out of room. I started the map in the center instead of all the way to the left and I dont have enought room to complete it. Is there a way to select the entire map and move it over some so there is room? So far I dont have anything but the floors walls and a spawn point made. sorry if this this has been asked already

You can also move things by dragging selection boxes around the entire area desired and pressing enter, then moving it.

I havnt applied any textures yet, will it be screwed up when i do, or just if I had it done before i moved the map

just put texture lock on anyway. and when your making a map, never say "i'll do textures later". its alot quicker to choose a texture when your making the brush than just make them all the same, and change them after the brushes are all made.

I would have but i still have some searching to do for some textures to best match the map, is it possible for my to take a screen shot, and cut a section out of that and make it into a texture?

Yes it is, although the result may not be too good.

the type i need is basically just siding, just verticle lines, and solid colors, will those work out alright?

I checked that out, and i was wanting to replicate a map to what it looked like in the other game and there wernt any that would match. that the only reason i wanted to make em is to try and get it to look as close as possible, but if it would end up turning out that the textures i make will look bad ill have to find some that will work better
