I just started making my first MoD, so I think this a pretty n00b question :P

Well I got the all the files + folders I need and made a different 'background-menu' picture thing. I can activate the mod, and the new background comes up, but the Half-Life logo, that kind of goes back-and-forth above the "new game" (or console) button is still there.

Can someone tell me how to get it away or put my mod's logo there ?

(Or what file to change if that is what's wrong)

That file is called logo.avi, Half-life will only look for that name in order to put a picture there. In your mod folder place your logo using that name. It is located in the 'Media' subfolder. Take a look at this tutorial for more info. Custom menu art for your Mod

The video is also mentioned in the Mods tutorial on this site.

 No, actually I only started mapping 7 months ago.

I got worldcraft from a cover/demo CD like 2 years ago, but never compiled a single map, cos I didn't no what to put in 4 the configurations.

So I gave up, and finally, 7 months ago, it occured to me that maybe there areTUTORIALS on the internet !!!!!!! :zonked:

i started mapping about 1 1/2 years ago, but read the tutorials, and most importantly, PLAY WITH THE TOOLS for a considerable amount of time so you can work things out, i may have been mapping for a year and a half, but i've only released 1 map.
