i know that if i scale a texture big(in hammer editor) it will reduse r_speeds,but what if i scale it small??
will it infect the r_speeds?
for example, i have use a texture but its way to big so i scale it very small (in hammer editor), is that bad for r_speeds??

it might be....check out your map and see if its bad. If you really wanu be persistant or your map does have high R_speeds try editing it smaller in photoshop / paint shop pro 8 :)

How small, exactly? It's usually okay to go below .5, though smaller scales can cause nasty things to happen.

Basically, if you scale the texture down a lot then it will increase the r_speeds and the opposite if you scale it up.

i know a good one! trial and error! you dont become an artist by reading....

and try not to take me as a jerk thats what i did, and now i make highly detailed graphic images and .wad files. ...one pointer! if youre not sure if your texture will tile nicely.. press the tile button. assuming ur using wally, or a related program. ;)
