Er, have you tried just placing a sci on top of the func_train? Make sure he's not stuck into the train.

Anything within the bounding box of a train will move with the train, whether player or NPC

Yes it is possible.
Proof, play Blueshift.
As long as theres something to stop the monster flying out the back it will stayinside.

sadly i dont hav blue shift (looks awesome) anyway i tested it and yes it worked i had a gman and a scientist but ther was one thnig that troubled me

i made glass windows on the sides so u could look outside as u travel and they wont move on their own so i assigned them to func_train

i told them to move the same path as the train does but the glass seems to go slower even though i made it so they were all 80 speed

and because ther so slow there not even on the train and seem to move into the distance

so how can i fix that?

also i tried using the entity 'monster_scientist_sitting' and hav tested it so many times but they seem to appear either under the train or above even though i keep changing their positions?

very dodgy my train map is cause ok i describe it to u its a underground subtrain i was testing to put people in it like the gman or a scientist but it screwes up at the end of the path_corner as the scientist explodes?

and the game blacks out and closes?

well its fine now anywhoo im starting to make the tunnels and i noticed on my trip on an actual train that it had orangelights passing by ever so often as you looked out the window now i want to do that but i dont no wat numers i put in to make it orange?

also i discovered a new error!

it seems as i get to the 2nd tunnel suddenly im pushed out of the train like as if im the func_train and pushed into the void which causes the game to crash any ideas?

plz answer the question above in case u didnt read it!

one last thing whats the train sound called (the same one used on the train sequence at the beggining of hl) (is it one of the elevator sounds like big elevator, tech elavator etc )

You need to be very carefull with trains and monsters on them. As the train rotates, the bounding box of a monster doesn't. Sometimes, a monster gets blocked, therefor takes damage, and dies. Or explodes, in case of high damage values. Make sure there's enough room for them.

Train sound? I''d say you go and try them out. Or search the sound in the .pak file and fill in the name manually.

Wouldn't setting nothing for Func_Train dmg stop the trapping/dying?

It would stop the dying but not the trapping. So, tread carefully and watch the space they need closely.

ok i solved problem a bit that scis are ok but now the player gets pushed out of the train? maybe i placed the path_corner in a strange place as the train stops as it exits the 2nd tunnel and then the player is suddenly pushed out the front of the train slowly and then into the void which caues the game to crash!
