simple. run ur map and type pointfile in the console. then follow the line till it goes through a wall and theres ur leak. also helps to use /noclip and the problem is it sometimes posent have enough points. there definetly is a way to fix this but i dont know it.

also, you might want to start hl.exe with -particles parameter set to something high, like 66666

eg:

hl.exe -particles 66666 -console

also, type gl_clear 1 in the console to turn areas outside the level intoa solid colour. this gets rid of the "warping" that occurrs when noclipping with openGl.

My Hl crashes without any error messages when I use the pointfile command? Any hints on what could be causing it?
