Half-life 2 will be/is using Hammer 4.0. It's pretty much the same as Hammer, with some extended options and shiz.

They tried to make hl2 for lower end machines so that everyone can play it - the engine has been improved alot!

its not with AA or AF.I have double the RAM, a better CPU, and will have a 9800, plus I won't be running at that high a res cos've my monitor

the engine has been improved alot!They have written a brand new engine actually... Nevertheless, indeed reason for happyness...
Oh, and I just got to know the second phase of HL2's pre-loading starts today...
