For those of you who don't yet know (how could you not?), the release candidates for
Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source and Half-Life: Source were send to Valve's
publisher, Vivendi, on Sept 15. Vivendi will now test and look for show stopping bugs.
If all goes well, HL2 could go gold within a week or two. Once it goes gold then its
up to Vivendi to decide when it will be released.

The issue I have is that there's two different theory's and there a whole month apart. I have never actually figured this all out myself, the gaming websites say Nov.4 and I kept hearing Sept.30 from no where. ONCE again, I hear 2 different stories to this. I am having some trouble beliving that it comes out on the 30th though.

Nobody will play cs2! How different can it be from 1! They will probably just include a few new weapons and have maps de_dust and de_dust2. Because thats the only maps anyone ever plays anymore.

And there's no such thing called CS2, or counter-strike 2, or whatever.

And when you've browsed trough some more screenshots, you would've seen there are more levels than just dust or aztec...

Half-Life 2 is now being advertised on GameSpy.

I hate cs now. It pisses me off evertime I see it. I just think they should have 'The Specialists Source', now that'd be pretty decent.

I really don't get why everyone hates cs... theres absolutly nothing wrong with it. Other than the fact that there is round playing and a buy system, its almost no different than HLDM. Now people will say, I dont like HLDM, but you don't sit there dissing HLDM do u? I really wish that normal cs would have a single player though, it would be so much cooler.

The thing is, it's not meant to be a deathmatch. You're meant to use tactics. Watch the best clans playing for money, that's what CS is meant to be.

I like all HL mods and go through cycles of them, i played lots of CS, then TS, then Sven co-op now onto DOD.
