When i map i want to rotate the xen trees and stuff but when i try it just goes back to a square facing north

You can try changing the little Compass thingy, which sets it angle.
Also in the pitch yaw roll options.

If you dont know what yaw is, I suggest reading some more tutorials to get more proffiecant with VHE.

yaw = rotation about z-axis

Rotating entities in VHE is buggy.
To make sure the angles do not reset, simply rotate, then click somewhere in a render window to de-select the entity, finally select it again. Now the angles will stay as they are.
Try to get used to this. You'll do it automatically after a while.
