Open the texture tool (left hand side, the cube with a different colour on each side), highlight the 'arrow' texture, and tick the box that says To Face

now close the tool, and there ya go

notice the Fit button, if you aren't already suing it, it can be good for little things like that.

clicking To World will return the texture to it's original form.

Is there a tutorial on this Tool, tbh I've never looked for one, just played with it till I got it right...

how I make the arrows on door (C1AOB_DR4B) point the other way?
i don't know which way the arrow points on that texture, but you can use your "toggle texture application" tool in the left tool bar to turn it around.

using the tool, left click on the texture you want to adjust, then either put a minus sign (-) in front of either the x or y numbers where it says scale and push apply. that will make the texture reverse its image.

or, using the same tool, you can try rotating the texture to get the arrow pointing the intended direction.

your approach should depend on wether or not there's any writing on the texture and which direction you want the texture flipped or spun. experiment with the tool and you should get the door looking how you want in no time.

Experimenting is a good point, but the quickest way for him to do what he wants is to just use the To Face method, also good for smoothing out those clipped/vertexed faces (like ya didn't know, but he doesn't).

The main point here is, experiment, and head over to IRC, you'll get quicker replies, and less flaming ^

MY main problem is still there after days and I got woken up at like 02:00 AM cause of my sister`s DAMM alarm Clock and then I get told how to make a catwalk when that was not the topic. :(
On the other hand I am happy that I got HL working (If only under XP) and made a working scanner which Barney usees to open an airlock door that closes behind you but not when you are on the wrong side and that wasa thanks to those who gave me ansews. So thanks to them I only have this one Big problem with map L1P1 in the map vault.

OMG man, seriously, read what is posted properly, or take your time, english ain't ya first language, but hell, if it is, man you need to get schooled.

Read:

Open the texture tool (left hand side, the cube with a different colour on each side), highlight the 'arrow' texture, and tick the box that says To Face

notice the Fit button, if you aren't already using it, it can be good for little things like that.

now close the tool, and there ya go

the quickest way for him to do what he wants is to just use the To Face method
yeah, i didn't know if the arrow pointed up, down, left, or right on the texture or if he meant opposite direction when he said "other direction" or if he wanted to get the arrow to point the opposite than it shows up normally when you browse it. i was just giving a generic answer factoring in all the unknowns. you're probably right about him just using the to face method, as he probably just wants the back of the door to match the front...

oops i missed a few posts while i was taking a leak and typing mine...

yeah killer your question's been answered, you've been given two different ways that will get your door looking exactly like you want it. if you dont understand one, try the other. (and i'm not talking about rotating the texture since you said that's not what you're wanting).

and neither of those will make the door how you want it. just do this:

using the "texture application tool", left click on the texture you want to adjust, then, where it says scale up at the top, make the x number negative and push apply.

if you don't understand this, post exactly what you dont understand.
