i found a scientist animation onguard. well it looks like that scientist should hold a shotgun in his hands. So i want to know is there a way to give a shotgun to a scientist :)

No I don't think you can just give a shotgun to a scientist, in fact I don't think I've seen a Scientist hold a shotugn in HL, try searching VERC, or try experimenting, I hope someone can help you , but really "sci" ain't very descriptive.

Sort it out.

I take it you're lookign through the Pak file right?

If it ain't in teh Pak file, it don't exist.

i found the last map in in lambda core. and there is a teleporter which target is d02a so it shoud be somewhere.

In one of the c3a2/3 maps there's a scientist holding a shotgun. He doesn't have a submodel attachment for the shotgun so he uses another model for it, something like scigun.mdl. Look for that model, it's the shotgun he wields with the onguard animation.

hmm.. i tryed but i couldn't make my sci repeat given action... I want him to stand near bookcase ant ponder but he ponders one time and stops. Can someone help me.

I saw that sci. In the Lambda Core, I think. Well, I'm not very sure how to do it, but have you seen the model with HLMV???? I think that would answer your question...

i got another strange problem.. everything seemed to be fine sice i made a new room. But when i try to compile it this error shows up: There was a problem compiling the map. Then i deleted that new room. The same problem. Again i deleted half of my map. still the same. I don't get it :/

There's a model called scigun, or something similar. You have to put them on seperate places then move them to the same location with two separete scripted sequences. Use the Model Viewer to find the apropriate animation for both models (I think the shotgun has idle, onguard and seeya sequences).

Use the repeatable flag or make some multimanager to repeat both animations(there should such a tutorial here or at the collective).

Check your compile log, it should have more details on why your map isn't compiling. Might be a leak or something.

Are you checking yourmapname.log file, and not what the compiler says in it's windows?

Howto Fix: Make sure the wad's listed in the level editor actually all exist

Remember, you need all your WADs on the same drive, and Zoner's tools on the same still.

Monster_Generic. Model = Scigun.mdl

Use an MDLviewer (Jed's is the best) and browse the animation name for the gun. Make sure that the sci's animation and the gun's animation are set to idle animation and check the flag marked "No interruptions"

To make a scientist ponder over and over again try this.

Name = pond1 (name of scripted sequence)
