well hi there!

Ok i'm trying to make a map in WC(worlcraft not toilete) and i'm trying to make a lot of hostages moving on a conveyor. but i'm facing sone problems:

1)is there any way i could make wery many hostages in exactly the same point(inside eachother) and still keep them on the ground and moving on the belt

2)Can i cross 2 belts? and on one belt i put a long box moving and on another the hostages

3)How to make the hostages respawn on every round or it would be good if the hostages will never stop respawning on one round.

My plan is to make a training map for AWP and the targets are hostages :) :lol: :P

Get Valve Hammer Editor, it's the latest version of Worldcraft.

1. Hostages take up space, you can't have them in each other (or at least, you shouldn't try such things. Looks buggy anyway). Just enlarge your elevator.

2. By belts you mean func_conveyors, right? Well, sure, you could cross them like in real-life: put one higher than the other...
Basically, just try some things out and see how it works in-game. When it doesn't work the way you want, experiment some more. Most things aren't really difficult to find out.

3. Hostages always respawn every new round... I don't really see your problem here... or do you want hostages to spawn each time one is shot?

As Captain P says, get Hammer. I also suspect you might be using the archaic Quake compile tools, get Zoner's tools. Both programs are available from our Links page.

As for point three, you can't spawn extra hostages during a round, but they automatically respawn each round, as 'P said.

Have targets that pop up randomly...

Shooting hostages is like... shagging your best friends mum.

well i got the hostages running on the belt and the belt running(belt is yes func_convayor).

I don't want to use "targets" cause i cant see then if i kill ithim or not and if it was a headshot or not. My friend yes uses"cardboard" targets moving around but thats not it. But whan you could tell me how to create other "monsters" then i would use them insted of hostages :) but meanwhile i use hostages to practice my shooting at :P :badass:

isn't it better to play a map in CS with bots? You put like 10 (or how uch you like) bots in the game, restrict them, that they can use only knifes, and GO! GO! GO!

That's a far betetr idea, but he won't be able to distribute it, but it's by teh far teh best solution to this.

You can't have monsters in CS, unless you get an AMX mod. But you need to run a server for that, and it works on any map...

hmm... how to put those bots and how to make those guys standing still? i dont want them running around like loonatics :) btw i got my map with hostages redy so if you play cs then maybe you might find some kinda map starting with trainig_XXXXXX where XXXXXX might be anything :) (mostly majatest)

You don't put bots in a map, they are controlled by teh server, you can download bots from alot of places, so just www.google.com for them. Make sure you get 1.6 compatible bots if you're using Steam.

I'm sure it's a great map, and I'll probably download it.

oh, one thing, you can prevent bots from moving when you delete waypoints for this map.

one more thing, you won't improve your shooting skills by shooting to passive targets, its like you shoot to bottles.

if you want to get better at shooting, try joining a cs server and playing the game. as gode said, you wont get anything out of shooting those sort of targets.

most of the waws are from the commonly used waw files from other maps like dust and inferno(i have used glass and sandwall mostly)
