My PC, a proud member of the old guard, is in critical condition.
It can't do anything CPU/graphic card itensive, please mourn with
me.

I remember when I first got it, Me and my big brother were so excited,
"Can it run Tibieriun Sun? Can it?" Since then its had a hard drive upgrade, a optical drive upgrade and a graphics card update.

My old PC is 266MHz 128MB DDR 4MB onboard Video and 3.2GB HDD

;) ;) ;)

I still play Heretic and Star Craft on it sometimes. It also has 56k dial up modem, wich is usefull in case of network failure.

I have an 8086, a really old Intel motherboard, tiny amounts of ram, ISA ide controller, ISA graphics, a 10mb hdd, old keyboard attached, and a copy of DOS 1.01. Beat that for oldness. I also have a collection of old cpu's:

4 Pentium I's
2 Pentium II's
2 486SX's
1 486DX
1 486DX2
3 8086's
2 8088's
1 8080 (THE first real processor)

A top of the line PC would probably even out like this today:

2.6GHz Athlon 64 FX-55
4GB DDR2 667MHz
Two WD Raptors 74GB, 400GB hard drive (all SATA)
Dual GeForce 6800 GT 256MB (w00t!) http://www.nvidia.com/page/sli.html

Drool...ahhhhhhhh.

My first computer was a used AppleII back in 1985. It had a 32k cache. My first IBM based system was a 486/25dx and was not upgradable past 100dx. Intel decided to advance the 33dx line into pentiums.

At the same time, my roommate spent his money reserved for his car on a 1mb HD instead because he worked for a computer store and got a good deal on it. Reg. $800/ his price: $650. How's that for a dollar/mb ratio?

Mine are much more advanced nowadays.

Actually, I do have an FX-55 coming soon.

Athlon FX-55 (cooled by my shiny new cascade refrigeration)
1gb OCZ VoltMaster RAM (ok, its only 1gb, but I don't need loads of RAM)
4 WD Raptors in RAID 0
Dual GeForce 6800 Ultra (cooled by a dual GPU waterblock attached to my refrigeration powered liquid chiller)
DFI nForce 4 LanParty SLi motherboard

My current rig is:

P4EE @ 4.78GhZ (Cooled by Mach II charged with r408a and with a baker head)
Abit IC7-Max 3 mobo
1gb OCZ PC3200 Platinum (BH-5 chips that run well above PC3200)
ATi X800 Pro ViVo (modded to XT, cooled by -51C refrigeration system)
