Or www.getfirefox.com .

And who cares about Opera or FireFox, just use the browser (as in any one)!

Ministeve said this in IRC:

omeone did a test with IE and FF. They went to pr0n websites and crack websites and common websites like google. They did this for 30 minutes. Afterwards, they did a Spyware test.

For the IE, the found 800 Spyware threats. For FF, mearly 88. (or something like that)

Think about that, habboi. ;)

IE is used by the majority of people. It's no wonder that it's more targeted by spyware and other malware creators. So the lower risk may not actually come because of a 'superior' browser.

Personally I prefer FF over IE, mainly because it's tabbing system and somewhat easier download manager. Recently I also downloaded some nice extensions, though I've heard all these features aren't so unique as I initially thought they were. Nevermind, after all it's just a sake of personal preference...

Pff, I've just thought of the best idea ever, scrap x86 CPU's and use RISC! x86 was only invented as an easy solution for ASM programmers in the first place because RISC was inconvinient and awkward to program for. x86 is very ineffeciant since it must convert it's instructions to RISC before processing anyway.

Opera is better. It has a true MDI, better skins, better security, and is far more configurable. It runs on a wider variety of systems. Plus it doesn't have that awful laggy feel!

there are a number of tweaks that you can apply to Firefox to make it much faster.

here are a few good ones: http://www.overclock.net/showthread.php?t=12855

the only way Firefox would lag is if your internet connection or computer sucks. so maybe its time to ditch the old Commodore 64 and get a new setup.

Oh, by the way, it's true - all of the non-protocol-breaking options are set on by default in Opera (or possibly on only with the right connection), and the protocol-breaking ones (Firefox, standards? Bull. Did someone say IDNs?) are possible to use too.

I mean, it's okay to use Firefox if you really like it for some reason (no accounting for taste) but when people start random uninformed anti-Opera moronicism, I get annoyed. If you want to actually debate this, actual make worthful comments. If not, ignore this thread.
