I'm making a HL:SP Mini Mod. I have made about 15-20%.

Ok, the idea:
You play as g-man. You must make sure gordon freeman doesn't die.
You will be following him around, removing traps , opening doors etc etc.

Some screens:

You like the idea?

(and yeah, why not hl2 bla bla bla)
(and yes, that box is the g-man briefcase ;))

Looks alright - Sort of flat imo ;< - You definitely need some lighting improvement there, it's sort of all uniform, white, and un-interesting. Add some reds and contrasting colors.

Oh, and by the way ? changing the extension of a bitmap to JPEG does not make it smaller!

i think it looks a bit flat, as mentioned above. Lighting needs to be improved, as does the architecture.

Oh, and I think that the reflective floor should be a bit less transparent, don't think any floor on this earth is capable of shining that much ;)

Overall, i think it's a good idea and it's coming along nicely. good job :)

I wanted the office to look flat.
I have made some underground and outside areas whit more advanced ligtning and architecture.
And i will make the floor less transparent. (But you should see the floor in EFTD :p)

And i know it wont get smaller. I don't know what happened there :/

Floor mounted mirrors.

Of course thats a bit stupid. You'd get nasty foot prints all over the place.

I still think the lighting looks too bright/uninteresting - you REALLY need some contrasting colors or it should be less-bright at least - That lab-theme in general is usually a few smaller light-items and some dark areas.

In a lab style, smaller lights that look like they are part of the architectore = Good.

I like your light_spot usage. But its too bright.

It just needs a bit more detail.

Keep Mapping!

Looks a bit cramped in my opinion. Quite good stuff though.

Everything is to big and bulky, try and get some more practise before making a mod, you improve the result by far, trust me

I have been mapping for pretty long now (Since October 2003 i think). I might be a slow learner, but i dont think it will improve that much more now.

Heres a tip, try to keep your brushes small, and make the lighting darker.
