Tools>Options>General make sure "use independent window configurations" isn't checked.

Are you really only getting 1 window or are you getting 4 maximized widows that are overlapping each other leaving only 1 visible?

I would think the tin would be a greater risk for ESD, which ruins computers, and could be deadly.......

Weird... Shift-z maybe??

Well the problem is that the view is set to one size, you can tell because only one set of text shows up (Side X/Z) . Resizing them with Ctrl-A and the Autosize 4 Views command will fix it generally. If not, I'd guess you were playing with the save and restore state functions. (But even then, the Ctrl-A works to resize it.) I don't know what you've done, but I'd guess resetting Hammer's configuration or reinstalling will fix the issue.

As others have said, if you UNCHECK "Use independent window configurations", you will then get one big window with four sub-windows. However, it doesn't seem to take effect immediately; you have to close Hammer and reopen it before it takes effect.

OTOH, if you have that option CHECKED - as you currently do - you will get one window, but you can then open as many individual "New Windows" as you require from the "Windows" menu -- and set them up accordingly. (You can open new windows no matter how the "Use independent window configurations" is set, but it's not overly useful to have multiple subdivided windows, as far as I can see...)
