Does anyone know how to add music to a splash screen as seen in hostile intent, CSCZ etc.

Thanks.

Hmmm...All I know is that it would require some coding, so if you don't have the SDK, you should get it.

Unfortunately, I don't code. :

yeah, got the sdk. Thanks for your post. I also assume there will be coding. im not a coder either. but, any info i can get other than "yeah, it does take code work" would be great!

no coding required, i have done it with my steam cs 1.6 install, just put a file called

'gamestartup'

in

media

steam allows mp3 as well.

for example, mine is:

D:SteamSteamApps<username>counter-strikecstrikemediagamestartup.mp3

hope this helps.

Read the tutorials, for crying out loud. There is one in TWHL. :furious:

you know what would have been more helpful than getting angry? a link.

because before posting, i checked the tutorials myself and in addition to that i did tutorial searchES [wich all splash screen creation tuts didn't involve adding music] and searched the forums.

so give me the link that tells me how to add music for crying out loud.

p.s. thanks much penguinboy. it worked :D sadly the music doesnt play again when you disconnect. but this is just fine ^^

thanks again.

Oh, ignore Elon Yariv, he's a whining dumbass who clearly doesn't read threads before replying to them.
