I've been searching the net for about an hour now. Im looking for a horn-sound. You know, that large horn-sound you hear when there are bombs about to fall, a nuclear powerplant faliur or a natrual disaster.

I believe that this horn can be heard in Silent Hill too, atleast in the movie...
that wooooaaaaaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee sound, one note rising in pitch and volume.

Does anyone have this sound or know some site I can download it from?

STOP ALL THIS SHOUTING! YOU BOTH NEED TO JUST TURN YOUR SPEAKERS DOWN!

Seriously though, that remains one of the most haunting sounds in history. :nervous:

It's the worlds most awesome sound if you want to create a small panic burst :P

Those beats are VERY interesting!

I bet I could calculate how this sound is made by using the intervals in between them...

How about you use that time to help me remove parts of a sound I don't need :glad:

Woah creepy. Its amazing how such simple sounds can make folk scared. Do that in a mod, an alternate half-life c1a0 recreation. Gordon goes to the lav, 20 mins later, comes out into the warzone that is Black mesa, not a person in sight, lights are dimmed, and all that can be heard (except agonizing screams coming from the floor above) is
that wooooaaaaaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee sound
I can picture it now:

You know jimmi once said something to me very similar. I still don't get why some people keep on thinking Hl1 is so special and needs patience/thinking. All it has is a storyline.

Nice sound though, might be usefull in many maps and to many people.
