take a vote on the next one, the last minicompos sucked because one person picked the theme, and didnt get many entries because people didnt like the idea. i wouldnt mind a mini-compo-from-base

From a base? Thats funny, i was thinking of building some bases just for fun. Not like a partial map that needs flare, i was thinking actuall platforms to build from, much like the Structures sancefar and Alpestrine sit upon. And of course, lighting, texturing and all the flare goes with it. The base compos seem to have better results than some of the other kinds of compos. I guess its hard for most to get off of their feet.

Attention people. New minicompo theme is ready, it'll be an "extend from a base map" type. If you had any ideas, discuss them now on IRC. Otherwise, I/kol will be posting the new compo shortly.

I'd love to do one of those retexture compos like the one that was done a while back. However, extending from the base map sounds pretty interesting too.
